I usually enjoy the books in this series as a quick relaxing read. But this one felt disjointed and incomplete. There was no real resolution and there were too many loose ends and unexplained actions. Maybe it was a rush job impacted by the shutdown or as another reviewer speculated a lead-in to the next book. Whatever the problem it greatly affected my enjoyment of the story and maybe will wait for the paperback issue of the next. A very good addition to the series, love to see Brooklyn and Derek working together with lots of our other favorite people, in San Francisco, Dharma and Scotland. Brooklyn teams up with an appraiser she worked with on a TV program, who is an old weapons expert, and Derek gets a package from a former special agent he worked with in the past to solve multiple mysteries.
